When my mom came to visit, we checked out Villa Escudero - a traditional Philippine coconut plantation that has been maintained and is now a tourist destination.
When you arrive, you're taking in to the main area by a water buffalo cart.
There is a tourist show - with dancing and crafts.
The traditional dances are beautiful and show the history of the islands.
There is also the small area / village where the folks that work there live with a traditional church and other buildings.
And there's a big lake with water sports.
And a fun pool to play in.
But one of the coolest things is the lunch area - you eat in the middle of a river next to a giant water fall.
